DAY 1 – First Aid Fundamentals & Workplace Safety

Focus: Foundation knowledge + life-saving basics

Duration: 8 Hours

Module 1: Introduction to Occupational First Aid (1.5 hrs)

  • Role & responsibility of a workplace first aider
  • Legal obligations (OSHA 1994 & DOSH guidelines)
  • First aid kit standards & maintenance
  • Incident response hierarchy

Module 2: Workplace Hazards & Accident Management (2 hrs)

  • Common injuries in office, factory & manufacturing environments
  • Hazard identification & risk control
  • Scene assessment & casualty prioritisation
  • Infection control & PPE usage

Module 3: Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR (3 hrs)

  • DRABC approach
  • Adult CPR techniques
  • Choking management
  • Recovery position
    (Heavy hands-on practice)

Module 4: Medical Emergencies at Workplace (1.5 hrs)

  • Fainting, shock & seizures
  • Asthma attacks & allergic reactions
  • Diabetic emergencies

DAY 2 – Injury Management & Emergency Response

Focus: Practical injury handling for workplace incidents
Duration: 8 Hours

Module 5: Wound Care & Bleeding Control (2 hrs)

  • Type of wound
  • Severe bleeding management
  • Bandaging technique
  • Use of pressure & elevation

Module 6: Burn & Electrical Injuries (2 hrs)

  • Thermal, chemical & electrical burn
  • Immediate first aid action
  • Workplace burn case studies

Module 7: Fracture, Sprain & Safe Handling (2 hrs)

  • Sign & symptom of fracture
  • Immobilisation & splinting
  • Safe lifting & casualty movement

Module 8: Environmental & Chemical Emergencies (2 hrs)

  • Heat exhaustion & heat stroke
  • Poisoning & chemical exposure
  • Bite, sting & workplace-specific risk

DAY 3 – Practical Application, Simulation & Assessment

Focus: Confidence, competency & compliance
Duration: 8 Hours

Module 9: Hands-On First Aid Skills Practice (3 hrs)

  • CPR drill
  • Bandaging & splinting station
  • Emergency response rotation

Module 10: Workplace Emergency Simulation (2 hrs)

  • Realistic accident scenario (factory/office setup)
  • Team response & communication
  • Decision-making under pressure

Module 11: Assessment & Evaluation (2 hrs)

  • Practical skill assessment
  • Written knowledge assessment

Module 12: Review, Reporting & Certification (1 hr)

  • Incident reporting basic
  • Course recap & refresher guidance
  • Certificate of Completion
  • Employers & HR Managers – To ensure workplace compliance with OSHA & DOSH requirements.
  • Designated Workplace First Aiders – Staff appointed as the first line of emergency response.
  • Team Leaders & Supervisors – To enhance safety and preparedness in their departments.
  • General Employees – Anyone who wants to be equipped with life-saving skills.
  • High-Risk Industry Staff – Workers in construction, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and other high-risk sectors.

3 days 

  • Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 – Employers must ensure workplace safety, which includes providing adequate first aid facilities and trained personnel.
  • Factories and Machinery Act (FMA) 1967 & Regulations – Workplaces (factories, construction sites, etc.) are required to have certified first aiders, depending on the number of employees.
  • Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Guidelines – DOSH specifies the minimum number of first aiders, first aid kits, and certified training standards that employers must comply with.

RM10500/day/50 pax/8 hours x 3 days  = RM31,500
