In 2010, our Founder was inspired by a story about 雁子 — the wild goose. What touched us was not simply how geese fly, but how they support, encourage and protect one another throughout the journey.

Geese fly in formation, take turns leading when one becomes tired, communicate to keep the flock moving, and stay together when one is struggling. Everyone has a role. Everyone can lead. Nobody is left behind.

That became the philosophy behind Yen.

The name Yen comes from the Chinese word 雁 (Yàn). It is simple, memorable and easy to pronounce across different languages — but more importantly, it carries the values we want our company to live by:
